Teri manages a portfolio of clients in the US that work with Forest Stewardship CouncilTM (FSCTM) Chain of Custody Standards.
Trees are an essential element to life on this planet and an important renewable resource. Besides the benefits of trees themselves, forests are key to protecting water quality, wildlife habitat, and biological diversity. One of the closest things to my heart is the concept of Sustainable Forestry. We should be working towards a goal of sustainably managing forests across all landscapes whereby the current needs and desires of society for forest resources are met without compromising the availability of these in the future.
I think it is important to ask, “What do we value enough to conserve for future generations?” I am thrilled to work for an organisation that seeks to answer this question and assists clients in assuring responsibly sourced forest products.
Teri has a background in forestry and conservation management, holding a BSc from the University of Florida. She has experience working in log procurement for sawmills and logs brokerages in the US, in forest management and landowner support services for the Florida Division of Forestry, and in conservation education and outreach for the Tennessee Forestry Association.
As a supply chain specialist, Teri’s main priority is providing excellent customer service while planning, conducting, and administering supply chain audits for FSC Chain of Custody clients.
