Getting certified - the process in brief
You can become a supplier of FSC and/or PEFC certified products through chain of custody certification according to the rules of the respective systems. Please find below a brief outline of the main steps of the certification process.
1. Initial contact: Certification solutions are discussed based on the actual needs.
2. A certification application is sent to NEPCon; we prepare a certification offer including our price and fees to FSC and/or PEFC.
3. The company develops internal documented chain of custody procedures, and key staff is identified and trained accordingly.
4. An on-site certification visit (assessment) is arranged.During the visit, documents are reviewed and key personnel is interviewed.
5. NEPCon prepares a certification report. If compliance is found, the FSC or PEFC certificate is issued by our accredited partner within the relevant system.
5. Once a year, NEPCon conducts an audit of the company to document continued compliance.
