• Since 2003, Ulrich has been the representative of the Rainforest Alliance's SmartWood Program in Austria, Benelux, Germany and Switzerland.
• He has conducted more than 200 chain of custody audits and some forest management audits according to the FSC standards.
• Qualified as PEFC auditor.
• Experienced within chain of custody certification of coffee and cacao producers according the Rainforest Alliance standards.
• Ulrich has worked with several forest enterprises in South America to implement ecologically sound management practices. 
• Educational and research background in tropical forestry and ecology and forest science.
• Experience from about 20 countries.
• Ulrich masters German and English.
• He joined NEPCon in 2009.
