First major conference on certified forestry and products in China

Report forecasts significant growth in paper market certification 

According to an analysis done by the consulting company Pira International, global FSC paper consumption will grow by 48.7% to nearly 6.5 million tonnes in 2012, while PEFC paper consumption will grow by 92.7% to almost 2 million tonnes over the same period. Download press release

Re-endorsement of the Latvian PEFC standard open for public consultation

Rainforest Alliance Legality Verification Program deemed the world's best by Greenpeace

In a report recently launched by Greenpeace, the Rainforest Alliance program for the verification of legality receives the top grade of seven evaluated schemes. It is distinguished as the only scheme that comes close to complying with all of the Greenpeace criteria. For example, it is the only scheme 'truly developed in a balanced multi-stakeholder manner'. Go to the report
