about NEPCon
Nature, Ecology and People Consult
At NEPCon, we work to encourage sustainable use of natural resources worldwide.
NEPCon is a Danish registered non-profit organization with 8 wholly-owned daughter companies based in Europe and Russia. The business activities of our daughter companies all serve our mission. Surplus income is re-invested into innovative development activities that further support our goals.
Forest management is our core expertise area. We believe that certification is an important instrument to secure responsible utilization of the world's forests, for the benefit of local communities, forest workers and wildlife.

Responsible enterprises need market rewards
Enterprises committed to environmental and social improvement deserve recognition on the marketplace.
We work with a range of third-party certification and verification systems that serve this purpose.
These include e.g. FSC certification of forests and wood industries, Rainforest Alliance legality verification and verification of carbon forestry projects.
Our key business partners are forest operations and companies along the wood products suppy chain: Wood industries, the paper and printing sector, and trading companies. Read more about certification
Sustainable development requires innovation
Innovation may not save the world, but it will certainly go a long way! Innovative projects that result in new tools can help to facilitate better forestry, responsible purchasing of wood products and conscientious consumer behaviour. NEPCon has initiated a number of such projects.
Our project work has also helped to establish more than 100 protected areas around the world and around 70 management plans for high conservation value areas. Read more about our projects
People are key to positive change
Knowledge empowers people to make the right choices. We help to foster positive change by providing capacity building and awareness raising in almost all spheres of our work. Throughout our activities, stakeholders play an important role, and we are frequently involved as mediators, trainers and workshop organizers.
You can share in our certification expertise in several ways. One way is to join one of our regular FSC auditor training events. You can also request information days or training events created for your organization only. Read more about your training options
